Kids for Sale

We raise dairy goats for both milk and show. Our herd is primarily La Manchas, with a purbred Nubian and an American Alpine for some ears!  Our herd is tested annually  for CAE, CL, Johnes, Bruecella and Tuberculosis and are ALL NEGATIVE. Our last test was December 2009. Our kids are raised on CAE prevention as a precautionary measure. This includes pulling babies at birth and bottle-feeding heat-treat colostrum and milk. We have NOT fed cow's milk or milk replacer to any of our animals and hope we never have to.

There is a $50 non-refundable deposit to hold any kid. If your kid of choice is not born and there is no other available, we will refund your deposit. The balance is due on pick-up. We reserve the right to keep any kid/s as replacement stock.

Kids can go to their new home anytime after two weeks of age if you have a supply of goat's milk for your new kid. Otherwise your kid can stay with us until weaned at three months of age.

All goat kids will be disbudded before leaving our farm.  They will receive any necessary vaccinations, vitamins, etc as needed. They will receive lots of loving attention, too!

Kidding season is over for 2010 and we've decided to retain all the kids for our show string and as future milkers. We are now planning for our fall breedings with plans to sell a milker or two, plus kids spring of 2011.

THE NEW KIDS ON THE FARM

We can't thank Debbie of Jacob's Pride enough for selling us this sweet little girl! Creme de Cassia joined our herd at just under three weeks of age.  Here she is at three months and is growing beautifully!

Next is our Lamancha, Latta-Sunshine Sumatra Gayo or "Maddie" , born here on farm March 7, 2010. She is a lovely little girl, black with white like her dam.

Finally, our Alpine doeling, Latta-Sunshine Beths Bimini, born March 29, 2010. She looks nothing like her dam with her chocolately coloring with dark dorsal stripes. Cute, cute, cute!
