TIDBIT: Did you know that egg color does not change the nutritional content of the egg? So brown, green, blue or white, they are all the same on the inside!

TIDBIT:  Chickens need to take dust baths to help keep their feathers clean. They don't mind using the flower bed for this!

Here at Sunshine Meadows, we let our chickens roam free choosing what and when to eat. No battery cages here! Our pasture is free of herbicides, pesticides and any other "cide" cause our birds don't like them and neither do we. So, plenty of bugs and weed seeds and wild raspberries, too. Grain is offered and it's free of by-products, antibiotics and hormones. Even though the price of grain is rising, we continue our transition over to completely organic, locally grown grains for our feathered friends. Fresh water is always available and comfy nesting boxes to lay their eggs are in their coop, which they spend the night in to protect them from predators. 

 We do our best to accomodate our regular customers and have their weekly eggs set aside just for them!
