We are a small, family farm utilizing organic practices in raising our food and animals. We began our homestead four years ago with our first flock of laying hens and were hooked! You just can't beat pasture-raised chicken eggs! We have also worked since then to introduce organic matter into the land in order to sustain a bountiful herb and vegetable garden.  Our little orchard was established the next year and is now starting to bear fruit.  Spring of 2008 saw the introduction of turkeys, ducks and broilers for both meat and eggs. Also rounding out our animal family is a small herd of milking goats and our alpaca boys. 


Our girls are a mixed flock of chickens that lay brown, green, white and chocolate eggs in a variety of sizes. Eggs are sold as a mixed dozen. Our chickens enjoy spending their days out on pasture that is free from pesticides and herbicides, and choose to roost in their coop when the sun sets at night. Supplemental grains are offered free choice, that is free of by-products, antibiotics or hormones. In other words, 100% organically raised!

Available from June-October 2009 is a variety of vegetables, herbs and fruit grown in an organic method. Produce is available via a CSA subscription and we are accepting members NOW! Call or email lorij@sunshinemeadowsfarm.com   for aditional details or availability.

 Produce and chicken eggs are just a part of what we offer. We also have goat shares, hand-made soaps, a limited supply of pasture-raised chicken, turkey and duck meat and turkey eggs!
